From Chaos to Calm: The Newton Reset

A move filled with unexpected setbacks turned into a fresh start.

After driving from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts with her two dogs, this homeowner arrived expecting to close on her new home—only to learn the sellers had backed out at the last minute. With nowhere to move in, all of her belongings were placed into storage while she searched for another home. She and her dogs spent the next three weeks living in a hotel while trying to quickly secure another property.

Three weeks later she found a new four-story home in Newton and had to restart the entire moving process, including hiring a second moving company to deliver everything from storage. Through a referral from her real estate broker, she connected with Patty and the Ready, Set, Organize! team. Patty and her team unpacked and organized the entire home, assembled new deliveries, and carefully placed artwork and personal items so the house immediately felt comfortable and welcoming.

What began as a stressful and overwhelming situation quickly became a calm, organized home and a true fresh start.

Patty and her team went far beyond simple unpacking — they completely transformed my move-in experience. They hung over 100 pieces of wall art and photographs, thoughtfully placing each one so my house immediately felt like home. They unpacked and organized 158 boxes that had been left in the garage due to labeling issues — something that felt overwhelming to me — and handled it with efficiency and care. They also assembled every new item delivered, making sure everything was set up and ready to use. I was completely overwhelmed, and Patty stepped in with calm confidence and compassion.
